Outside my scope of practice

My role does not involve using in-depth nutrition or physiology knowledge to manage chronic or complex health conditions—that expertise belongs to qualified Nutritional Therapists and other health professionals.

Food is medicine, and applying it effectively requires a deep understanding of nutritional science. Always choose a qualified professional, verify their credentials, and be cautious—many short courses grant the title “nutritionist” without the necessary expertise for safe, effective guidance.

Excluded from the scope:

  • Assessing symptoms

  • Diagnosing conditions

  • Ordering functional testing

  • Interpreting lab results

  • Giving specific dietary advice

  • Suggesting permanent removal of food group

  • Prescribing treatments or therapeutic interventions
